A dove-shaped Easter cake from Saronno, slow-leavened the way it has always been done. Soft, citrus-soaked crumb. A whisper of limoncello cream. Candied lemon peel and dark chocolate folded in. Hand-wrapped in paper that feels like a gift before it is given.
Serve it with espresso, or with a small glass of something cold and yellow.
