Before sheet silver reached the Southwest, Navajo silversmiths worked with coins. American dollars and Mexican pesos were hammered, stamped, and strung into the first pieces of a tradition that still stands today. Here the coins hang whole from a strand of hand-formed silver beads. Heavy at the collarbone. Bright where it catches the light. There is only one.
Sold as found, from the Bella Cucina Vintage Vault. See it in person at the Store x Studio, 288 Buckhead Avenue, Buckhead Village, Atlanta, or we ship it in protective wrapping. Jewelry is final sale.
