Collection: The KAZ collection

The KAZ Collection: one of a kind Japanese ink works on paper by Alisa Barry, born of her study and practice with calligrapher and Zen teacher Kazuaki (Kaz) Tanahashi. Each painting was made at Upaya, a Zen monastery in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and is stamped with an antique Japanese signature seal.

The collection lives alongside Alisa's ensO practice: ink, paper, breath, and a brushstroke that records a moment of attention. No two works are alike, and each leaves the studio only once.
