A small dish carved from olive wood, with the dense, swirling grain that makes every piece its own. Olive wood is hard and naturally resistant to odors and stains, which is why it has served kitchens around the Mediterranean for centuries.
Use it for salt, olives, a pat of butter, spices or a few rings by the sink. Wash by hand, dry at once and rub with a little olive oil now and then to keep the wood from drying. See photos for size. More in For the Table.
