Cyanotype Workshop "Printing with the Sun” / Saturday, July 27th

Back by popular demand! Come make prints out in the sun! The cyanotype process produces a distinctive blue print that will interest artists, designers and beginners alike. In this introductory workshop you will learn to apply the solution to paper, then expose and rinse your prints. Terri will also share samples of her own art. The basics are easy to learn and experimentation will produce wonderful surprises.

The main approach will be placing objects on the light-sensitive paper. You can bring small items such as flowers, leaves, feathers, string, lace or other personal tokens, but there will be an assortment of objects provided for you to use. It is also possible to print imagery from your computer onto transparencies and bring them along to use like photo negatives. At the end of the workshop, you will leave with prints of your own and all the information you need to keep making cyanotypes at home.

Light bites and chilled bubbly will be provided.
