Pollo alla Peperonata

This recipe for chicken braised in our artisan pasta sauce comes together quickly in just two simple steps and thirty minutes time.  Sugo alla Peperonata is made with caramelized onions, red and golden bell peppers, and aromatic herbs. Serve over cheesy polenta, or herbed quinoa,  and plenty of bread.  Trust us, you'll want to soak up every last drop of this unique sauce.



3 Tbsp Bella Cucina Extra Virgin Olive Oil
6-8 pieces chicken (breast, leg, etc)
1 jar Bella Cucina Sugo alla Peperonata
salt & pepper, to taste



    Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat until hot. Sear seasoned chicken on both sides until golden brown.  Add 2 cups Sugo alla Peperonata and simmer, covered, over medium heat until done, approximately 15 minutes for chicken breasts.

    Serve over herbed polenta.

    Serves 4 people.
