Negroni Mocktail | A Non-Alcoholic Aperitivo

Negroni Mocktail | A Non-Alcoholic Aperitivo

The Phony Negroni by St. Agrestis is a fully non-alcoholic bottled Negroni made with bitter botanicals, juniper character, and citrus. It is one of the best non-alcoholic aperitivo options available today. Pour it over a large ice cube, express an orange peel over the glass, and sip slowly before dinner. No mixing required.

At Bella Cucina in Atlanta, we serve it two ways: the classic pour and the Phony Sbagliato, made with ISH Sparkling Espumante. Both are part of our Father's Day aperitivo hour menu.

The Classic Serve

Drop a large ice cube into a rocks glass. Pour the Phony Negroni slowly over the ice. Hold the orange peel skin-side down over the glass and pinch firmly to express the oils. Rub the peel around the rim, then drop it into the drink. Sip slowly over twenty minutes alongside something small to eat.

The Phony Sbagliato

Sbagliato means "mistaken" in Italian. The happy accident that became a classic. Pour the Phony Negroni over ice in a large wine glass. Top with ISH Sparkling Espumante — a non-alcoholic Spanish sparkling wine made from Airén grapes, with notes of ripe peach and pink grapefruit. Stir once, gently. Garnish with orange peel. This is the one for the table.
