Lapos Spritz & Garibaldi | Aperitivo Mocktails with Lapos Aperitivo

Lapos Aperitivo is a non-alcoholic Italian-style bitter liqueur made for the aperitivo hour. Bittersweet, complex, and deeply aromatic, it is the base for two of the most beloved Italian aperitivo traditions. At Bella Cucina in Atlanta, we serve it three ways: as a classic Spritz with ISH Sparkling Espumante, as a Rosé Spritz with TÖST Sparkling Rosé, and as a Garibaldi — the simplest two-ingredient Italian aperitivo you can make.

All three are fully non-alcoholic. All three are part of our Father's Day aperitivo hour menu.

PREPARATION

The Classic Lapos Spritz

Fill a large wine glass generously with ice. Pour in the Lapos Aperitivo, followed by the ISH Sparkling Espumante — a non-alcoholic Spanish sparkling wine made from Airén grapes, with notes of ripe peach and pink grapefruit. Top with soda water. Stir once, gently. Garnish with a fresh orange slice. This is the aperitivo hour in a glass.

The Rosé Spritz

The same classic build, with a different character. TÖST Sparkling Rosé is a non-alcoholic sparkling wine made with white tea, cranberry, and elderberry. Its light berry notes lift the bitterness of the Lapos into something a little softer, a little more festive. Fill a large wine glass with ice. Pour in the Lapos Aperitivo, followed by the TÖST Sparkling Rosé and soda water. Stir once. Garnish with an orange slice. The one for the table on a warm June afternoon.

The Garibaldi

The Garibaldi is named after Giuseppe Garibaldi, the Italian general who unified Italy. Two ingredients. No fuss. Fill a glass with ice. Pour in the Lapos Aperitivo, top with San Pellegrino Aranciata. Stir once. Garnish with an orange slice. The best things rarely need more than that.
