SHOPPING LIST:
1 tin Bella Cucina Tradizionale Pizza and Focaccia Dough Mix, plus ingredients called for on the package
Flour, for shaping the dough
¾ cup Bella Cucina Pomodoro Pizza Sauce
8 ounces fresh mozzarella, drained and torn into small pieces
½ cup Bella Cucina Piccolo Pomodoro Tomato and Basil, drained
Fresh basil leaves
Extra virgin olive oil, for finishing
PREPARATION:Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Prepare the pizza dough according to the package directions. Once the dough has risen, divide it into two equal portions.
Preheat the oven to 450°F. If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it heats.
On a lightly floured surface, gently stretch each portion of dough into a 12-inch round. Place each round on a lightly oiled baking sheet, or on parchment if using a pizza stone.
Spread half of the Pomodoro Pizza Sauce over each round, leaving a small border around the edge. Scatter the mozzarella and Piccolo Pomodoro tomatoes evenly over the pizzas.
Bake for 12 to 16 minutes, until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbling. If baking one pizza at a time, keep the second pizza untopped until ready to bake.
Remove from the oven and finish with fresh basil leaves and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. Slice and serve warm.
