What makes the Bella Cucina Agricola Artisan CSA unique?
It expands the traditional CSA of a seasonal selection of produce from local farmers to include a wider range of artisan –made products, both locally + regionally as well as including other items that will enhance the experience of both cooking and eating.
Each week we will feature produce from a local farmer. We tell the story about their farm and what makes them special and unique in their “field”.
We’ll highlight hard-to-find and familiar hand-crafted goods from local + regional producers we love, including our own award-winning artisan-made Bella Cucina products.
Recipes featuring the ingredients included will teach you how to quickly and simply put together absolutely scrumptious meals all week long. Menu ideas and artisan-made condiments can also be used in recipes in the coming weeks.
A special non-food surprise will be in your box every week.
{It’s all about creating an artful, easy- to- use and unique cooking + eating experience.}
In addition to seasonally harvested produce, some of the assorted items in the weekly subscription might include:
- Farm fresh eggs
- Hand-made pasta
- Garden flowers
- Bunches of herbs
- Artisan cheeses
- Estate grown olives + pressed olive oil
- Local honey
- handcreams, bath salts, soaps
- jams and syrups
- freshly made pesto, pasta sauces, and other ready to eat foods made with local ingredients

Due to the special nature of these hand-crafted weekly subscriptions, we are only offering a limited number of 4, 8 and 12 week subscription plans. It’s first come, first serve, so be sure to sign up now to reserve your space. Sign-up ends on May 30, 2010

Subscription details:
Pick -up your CSA Market Basket Subscription every Thursday between 1-5pm at the Bella Cucina retail store in Virginia Highlands {across from Highland Hardware}.
4 week : $395 – choose one any of the three months offered : June, July or August
8 week : $695 - choose two any of the three months offered : June, July or August
12 week : $895 – includes all three months offered: June, July + August
Please note:
- Due to the hand-crafted nature of this subscription program, we cannot offer refunds or extensions on missed weeks . Should you need to miss a week of your subscription, we can extend your subscription a week or offer store credit equal to $75.00. A two week advance notice is required.
- Availability and diversity of ingredients will depend on the “nature” of the season’s bounty.
